I should imagine we might even get a few GPU bandwidth limited bugs from systems with multi-core cpus and GPU's that can't keep up.Ĭlick to expand.I find this really interesting and totally looking forward it. ![]() Otherwise it will be very easy for Noob or Nieve developers like me to throw around this power and flood the forums with frame rate spikes or other glitches caused by cpu overloading. Hopefully the delays in releasing this new technology to Unity are partly to ensure that it comes with the right profiling and performance management features so we don't all start locking up our development rigs with massed hordes or gigantic alien fleets only to find it overloads something else!įor instance Unity's profiler could add a core load monitoring system and some kind of priority system for C# Jobs.
